A brotherhood is not a building or a bank account. It is a promise between people who refuse to look away.
Our Story
It started with one van and a group chat.
In the first week of the full-scale invasion, a handful of Ukrainians living abroad and their friends at home loaded a rented van with medicine, batteries and baby formula and drove it to the border. Then they did it again.
By summer the group chat had become a registered non-profit with a warehouse in Lviv, a roster of volunteer drivers and a rule we have never broken: everything we collect is delivered in person, and everything we deliver is documented in public.
We chose the name deliberately. Brotherhood, because the Ukrainian brotherhoods of the sixteenth century were ordinary citizens who organised schools, hospitals and printing presses when no state would. Destiny, because we believe Ukraine's future is not decided elsewhere. It is decided by what its people, and its friends, are willing to do.
The Crest
Every element of our crest is a vow
Our emblem is drawn from the Motherland Monument that watches over Kyiv. Each symbol on it names a value we hold ourselves to.
The Sword · Courage
We go where the need is, not where it is comfortable. Our drivers have delivered to towns still within artillery range because a hospital asked.
The Shield · Protection
The most vulnerable first: children, the elderly, the injured and the displaced. Aid is allocated by need, never by politics or connection.
The Laurel · Honour
We publish every manifest, every receipt and every hand-over photo. Trust is earned in public, and we intend to keep earning it.
The Tryzub · Identity
We support Ukrainian culture, language and heritage alongside food and medicine, because a nation is more than its survival.
The Ribbon · Unity
Diaspora and homeland, donors and drivers, believers and sceptics. The Brotherhood belongs to everyone who shows up.
The Motherland · Endurance
Statues outlast storms. We plan for years, not news cycles, and we will be here long after the headlines move on.
Milestones
The road so far
First convoy crosses the border
One rented van, four volunteers, 600 kg of medicine and baby formula delivered to a shelter in Lviv.
Registered as a non-profit
Board formed, bank accounts opened, and our public convoy ledger launched. The Lviv warehouse opens in September.
100th convoy · Medical program launches
Partnership with regional hospitals begins. First generators delivered ahead of the winter blackouts.
Family Care program opens
Housing, legal aid and counselling for displaced families, with a dedicated children's education fund.
First school rebuilt
A village school in Kharkiv Oblast reopens with a new roof, a bomb shelter and a restored power supply.
300 convoys and counting
Over 48,000 families reached. The work continues, and so does the accounting.
Leadership
The people who carry the crest
Our board serves without salary. Our coordinators in Ukraine are the only paid staff, and their pay is published in our annual report.
Transparency
Where every dollar goes
We are audited every year and we publish the full report. Here is the split from our most recent financial year.
Overhead stays low because our board is unpaid, our warehouse is donated and our drivers volunteer. What we do spend on operations pays for coordinators in Ukraine, fuel, insurance and the audit itself.
